Have you seen this?

This is a candle holder I bought from King and King Wong (which we called King Kong for short, since the name is pretty tough on the memory/tongue combination. For a long time, I had no idea what I wanted to put into the container, so the chanel ribbon I got from Christmas gift got it’s temporary residence. Until, I get an idea.

Weren’t we doing steampunk?

Well, I say, I did it quite ok, right? I even put the candle to show you guys how it looked with the candle, but I didn’t burn of course.

Now, if I grew tired of this STEAMPUNK theme, I can always remove it and toss in some beads, or maybe

have the RIBBONS in it, like I did initially for a SOFT LOOK;

use tiny wooden sticks/pegs to circle the inner circumference, toss in some fake greens and a few tiny animals to form a FARM ANIMAL theme;

line the inside with coloured transparent sheets so that when I light up the candle, the room is so much more colourful~

Alternatively, if Mr. Frosty is thin/small enough, add in a few Styrofoam balls from leftover of packing materials (as a form of recycling too!) and have a Christmas-themed candle holder!

Or I can toss in a few of those tiny jewelleries I don’t use anymore and have a really girly one

Tiny feathers works too! And paper-cut butterflies, flowers, etc!

If not, I can add some dried flowers and have a real SECRET GARDEN THEME. So long as it can withstand the heat of a candle. It all depends on the trinkets I have, and the vision I have in mind.

She came and visited me, and I had her paint for me. Turns out she wanted to me to paint with her, so we decided to give our work for the day to each other.

This time, the theme is sky and birds….. I had to work with adapting because my initial ideas would not work. It is weird how you came up with the idea for the egg/work with an item, and that item ended up not being used in the egg/work.

Anyway, even as there are changes to it, the initial idea is more or less this:

but as you can see, it is not suitable… the traditional baby sling had to go….

but I still did not want to abandon my idea…. so I came up with a thinner sling. And all that it is missing now is a big bird to carry it… yes, my image has a bird to carry the sling.

It is now being held by my letter opener…. which will change… wooden sticks are more suitable, and I do need my letter opener…. not that it is a must to use letter openers to open letters.

I was a little surprised when I saw this posted on the website. But since it is being posted there, then why can’t I post it here as well?

I can only say I have never met such a lucky woman. Therefore, it only seems suitable to start my new year with a lucky woman.

When I look back at the photos from two years ago, I was surprised that the photos taken were so different. But I AM sure my skills were still the same. camera…?

BEFORE:
Lots of dust easily attracted to the shelves, hard to clean up due to numerous trinkets. Running out of space easily, and makeup products are hard to retrieve and put back.

AFTER:
Ample space for more make-up and other products. Easy cleaning and products are categorised and easy to retrieve and put back.
